For over a decade, Education Training & Employment Australia (ETEA) was the largest Australian provider of the bridging program, Initial Registration Program for Overseas Registered Nurses (IRON). ETEA successfully delivered this program to over 3,500 international nurses Australia wide.
Our strong ties with the Australian healthcare industry backed by structured theoretical content of our OBA Program will better assist IQN to achieve their goal of acquiring Australian Registration.
On our NCLEX-RN Review Program, we partnered with RA Gapuz from the Philippines, who boasts high number of successful passers of the theoretical examination conducted by the National Council Licensure Examination for over 25 years.
Also, ETEA offers four-weeks of OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) Preparatory Program including two-weeks of Clinical Placement with an Australian healthcare facility with acute setting.
ETEA’s OBA Program aims to produce high number of successful IQN gaining Australian qualifications.
The key objectives of the course are to:
- Enable participants to be adequately prepared for successful completion of the Outcome Based Assessment for Australian Registered Nurses
- Enable overseas registered nurses to attend a supervised and supported clinical placement in an Australian health care setting pre OSCE assessment
- Enable newly registered qualified registered nurses to attend a supervised and supported clinical placement in an Australian Health care setting
The Complete Handbook will be given upon confirmed Enrolment

International students in Australia on a student visa are required, as a condition of their visa, to maintain valid health insurance known as Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
It may be noted that overseas students need not subscribe to the Victorian Ambulance Service separately since the same is covered in your OSHC.
ETEA has an arrangement with Bupa private to organise OSHC on behalf of international students. For your convenience, if you would like us to arrange this for you, please indicate it on your application form.
