Have a go day
Perth Diploma of Mental Health and Cert IV Mental Health students recently attended the ‘Have a go Fair’ to familiarise themselves with the services offered to clients in the Perth and surrounding regions.
Our lecturers Jo Fletcher and Rupinder Sidhu (pictured centre) took the students who enjoyed themselves immensely and gained valuable insight.
Dax Diwa a RN in home country (Pictured far right) has been a student for over 1 year with ETEA, said he liked that ETEA offer opportunities like this as part of the curriculum so he could really meet people in the industry and learn more about how he can help future clients.
Rupinder one of original team members said that students gain extra knowledge with such excursions and this cements the options their future clients will have and begins their networking skills in such a small and vast Perth community.
Leya (pictured second from left) said, “as I am coming to the end of my course these outings have proved to be invaluable to me and I really appreciate the lecturers taking us on these days as I learn a lot and this will help me in my next job when I work with Mental Health clients”.
