IRCON1A - Initial Registration Course for Overseas Registered Nurses
The Initial Registration Course for Overseas Qualified Nurses, being an approved course by the Nurses Board of Victoria, is a 13 week course designed to facilitate the transition from nursing overseas to nursing within Australia. The course is accessible to all overseas Qualified Nurses wishing to nurse in Australia who have been recommended by the Nurses Board of Victoria for eligibility.
The aim of this course is to assist overseas Qualified Nurses to embrace the knowledge and skills required to work as a nurse in Australia and provide support in the transition from nursing in their country of origin to nursing in Australia.
On successful completion of this non-award course students will be eligible to apply for registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nurses Board of Victoria.
