CHC41408 - Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention
(Family Support)
This qualification covers those who work in youth and family intervention, including practice specialisation family support and
early intervention. Workers are under a broad supervision framework and operate within clearly defined organisation guidelines,
service plans and position specifications.
Family Support work involves providing daily support to children young people and families. Duties may include but are not
limited to: Case management, providing appropriate services for families and facilitating family intervention strategies.
Students will learn to develop their skills and understanding of culture, support the development of children, and learn how to
work with local communities in the provision of services, and how to work effectively with families to care for the child.
